Field Service Technician

(1 Available in Kingston, MA)

We are looking for a mechanical/electric oriented Field Service Technician, level 1. Candidates should have training and/or experience working with basic mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic systems. Applicants must be able to read and interpret schematics and have an understanding of electronics and common Windows PC software. Deep expertise is not required, but a working knowledge is necessary to be successful. Basic math and logic skills (light algebra and business math) are expected.

This position is "Field Service"; applicants should expect 40-50% overnight travel throughout the U.S. with some opportunity for international travel. The company reimburses all reasonable business expenses, including: mileage, airfare, lodging, and meals per diem.

The primary job duties include but are not limited to:
-Installation of new machinery
-Performing preventative maintenance on machinery
-Troubleshooting and repair of machines in the field (This is a hands on position)
-Troubleshooting of machines over the phone and remotely using Teamviewer/Zoom/Etc.
-Training operators on safe and efficient operation of the machines
-Performing trade show demonstrations
-Accurate tracking of inventory, customer service call billings, and expenses
-Parts sales, machine rebuilding and warehouse support when in-house

While in the field a Technician operates independently and is the face of a company. And as such, good communication skills, a positive attitude, and self motivation are a must.

Qualifications

Basic/Minimum Qualifications:
-HS Diploma or GED is required
-Field service and/or machine assembly/operation experience
-Ability to read and interpret schematics and basic engineering documentation

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience working with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical/electronic systems
-Understanding of CNC motion control; such as stepper & servo motors, and PLC logic
-Basic math skills in algebra, geometry, and common business math
-Ability to travel domestically and abroad 50% of the time
-Good communication skills and a positive attitude

Sales Support Position - Lamello 

(1 Available in Kingston, MA) This position will involve detailed training to develop proficient knowledge of the Lamello product line and our customer support resources.  Primary duties will involve fielding customer phone calls and email inquiries, processing purchase orders, data entry in support of the sales team, and also performing small project-based tasks assigned by the product manager.

Prior experience in the woodworking industry is ideal, but not required.  Previous experience using CRM and ERP platforms is preferred, but also not required.
