Circular knife grinder with Periphery Grind for Super Finish
The UT.MA AC400, AC520, and AC800 CNC circular knife grinding machines are designed to resharpen circular knives and counter-knives in HSS or carbide. These slitter knife grinders can resharpen knives using either a cup grinding wheel for high-production work or a tangential periphery wheel for super-finished edges and precision diameter matching.

Dual-purpose CNC slitter and circular knife grinder, ideal for shops that need super-finish periphery grinding on tissue, paper, film, and foil slitter knives. Perfect for converters bringing in-house knife sharpening or counter-knife grinding operations under their own roof.
- 3 HP (optional 6 HP) twin-spindle grinding head supports both cup wheels for high-production resharpening and periphery wheels for CNC-controlled super-finish grinding on circular knives and slitters.
- Automatically grind a wide variety of circular knives including HSS, Stainless or Carbide, top & bottom slitters, single & multiple bevels, counter knives, tissue knives
- Touchscreen CNC Controller programmable for roughing, finishing, and sparkout cycle with ability to save & recall programs
- Match grind program allows grinding of multiple knives to the same diameter.
