The 1000th U.S. purchase of the revolutionary tool was made by Weber’s Cabinet and Fixture Company in Reno, Nevada

At the 2017 Woodworking Industry Conference (WIC) in Rancho Mirage, CA, members of the Woodworking Machinery Industry Association (WMIA) elected a new slate of officers to lead the Association for the next two years. David Rakauskas, executive vice president of Colonial Saw Company, Inc., Kingston, MA, was elected WMIA’s new Chairman of the Board at the Association’s Annual Business Meeting on Wednesday, April 26.

Tuesday, May 16 will see the widely anticipated worldwide debut of Cabineo, an innovative and time-saving one-piece RTA cabinet connector. Cabineo was developed by Lamello AG of Bubendorf, Switzerland, the pioneering wood joining company. Colonial Saw is the exclusive U.S. importer for Lamello and will be showcasing Cabineo in the U.S. at AWFS, woodworking's largest tradeshow of the year in Las Vegas.

Following a world première in mid-2013, the first saws were commissioned at the beginning of this year. “Our new high-end saw, the Striebig 4D, has been extremely well received in the market. We’ve heard a great many positive comments here in Nuremberg too”, says Striebig Managing Director Marcel Brunner at the Holz-Handwerk trade fair.
