toolsThis kind of magnetic chuck is suitable for holding widia (HM) tools, used for woodworking during re-grinding operations. The magnetic plate is special because it magnetizes carbide which isn't normally magnetic. It is especially suited for linear or surface grinders because the supporting bed is parallel with the magnetic surface. The magnetic surface measures approx. 256 cm2 and can accommodate tools of various shapes and thicknesses until the entire surface is fully covered. This chuck has been designed to speed up the positioning and removal of tools from the grinder in order to increase output.

The open-field magnetic chuck can be:
  • secured to any type of magnetic chuck;
  • mechanically fixed by means of the four holes around the edges, aligning or flanking a number of open-field magnetic chucks.

px1000By aligning or flanking a number of magnetic chucks, extremely strong magnetic surfaces can be obtained. This magnetic chuck is an option for the MVM PX 1000 knife grinder or larger knife grinding machine.
